Saving Energy – Cutting down Home Heating and Air Conditioning Costs
SEER is an acronym for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. A rating number from 13 to 23 is available for new air conditioners sold here. It is a relative score of an air conditioning units energy efficiency. The higher it is the better the equipment’s efficiency and the lower your energy bills will be.
SEER is actually calculated by separating the amount of cooling supplied by the air conditioner or even heat pump (Btu’s per hour) by the power (watts) utilized by the cooling tools under a specific pair of seasonal conditions.
